During brainstorming sessions within the company, and specifically within the sales team, educational institutions were identified as a market with enormous potential. After extensive research it was found that the SAOU Principal Symposium is the best place to interact with these institutions. Every year over 700 principals from across the country attend the 3 day symposium in Port Elizabeth.

Exhibitors range from printers, stationers, manufacturers of educational toys and many more. These exhibitors are given the opportunity to interact with attendees during breaks to discuss how their products can enhance the day to day running of an educational institution.

Altech NuPay has developed a product range that exclusively caters to the educational market called The Dux. The products in this offering have been tailor-made to fit seamlessly into any school or tertiary environment.

This year’s event was held from the 1st to the 3rd of September at the facilities of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Principals from every corner of the country were in attendance and the Altech NuPay sales team was able to introduce our product range to a number of attendees that was not able to attend last year and thus is not yet familiar with the Altech NuPay name. The added benefit we experienced this year was the positive feedback from institutions that met us at last year’s symposium and that have adopted our system into their business. These attendees were able to interact with others and tell them about the drastic improvement in collections they have experienced in the past year.

Various new sales leads were generated during this symposium and our team is already hard at work to turn these leads into new customers.
